So.. How YOU doin'. That good eh? I get that.. The summer is slipping away.. and so is 
the bands three week hiatus.. It seems like it's been so much longer than three weeks..
I've noticed that our website gets the most hits on it on Fridays.. Don't worry people we are BACK and better than ever!
We had a couple of rehearsals with Andy, and will be having one more this week in preparation for Saturdays gig.. I'm pretty sure you will love him. The last couple rehearsals have been us getting used to each others way of playing and styles. I think we are pretty much all set.. Cant wait for Saturday!
As I promised in the last post.. (about a month ago.. really sorry for slacking again) I would put a few pics up of one of the rehearsals, here's some for ya. please note some of us just came straight from work.. and may look a little dorky..

Hey Everyone.. I know I know.. 7ish weeks without writing.. I can explain.. I ran out of 
gas. I, I had a flat tire. I didn't have enough money for cab fare. My tux didn't come back from the cleaners. An old friend came in from out of town. Someone stole my car. There was an earthquake. A terrible flood. Locusts. IT WASN'T MY FAULT, I SWEAR TO GOD. (quote from the Blues Brothers)
We had a tough last few weeks.. We had to say good bye to Steve.. His shoulder really started causing him troubles and he had to back out of the band... So, we had some auditions for drummers.. and well let me tell you.. This guy walks in calm and cool and totally blew our socks off! Playing shit on the drums that I didn't even know drums could do. AMAZING! This guys name is Andy (will come up with a name and bio for him later)
That's him in that pic above.. I cant wait till all you guys get to see us in action with him as the driving force now.. So in the next few weeks.. we will be rehearsing getting ready for our next gig at Johnny Macs in Worcester for Andy's debut with The Last Call Band!

Friday night:
Some of the band and wives went to The Cannery on 12 Crane Street in Southbridge to check it out for future gigging possibilities.. Looks like a real fun place to play hope to play there in the fall! We stuck around for a while as High Octane was playing. Check them out if you get the chance.. Good times!
Saturday Late Afternoon:
Some of us went to see / listen to The Al sing opera. That's right Opera! Lots of you probably didn't know that he does that sort of thing.. But it was very beautiful. Very emotional sitting there and experiencing that sort of thing. I got to tell you.. It was really hard (that's what she said) getting us together and being serious.. We did a good job of not losing control like we usually do. Al.. you were awesome! Also were all of the others that sang! You all ROCK! does that work in this situation? You All Opera! Ok.. moving on.. After that was over.. We went to Beatnik's Bar in Worcester to kick back a few gallons of our favorite tasty beverages..No Alibi was playing there. (Thanks for the great tunes guys!) I gotta say.. we got wrecked! Then ended up in our usual hangout after we play.. IHOP! Gotta say.. That is a very interesting place at 3 a.m. I ate everything on my plate(s) which really helped me sober up.. But it wasn't pretty later on.. You don't want those details.. lol (ug) I'm sure I left a lot out.. but that's what I remember..

Sweet Satisfaction

We had three kick ass shows since I've written.. So, I'll give you the scoop on them.. We 
Irish Timeswere excited to play with Suzy again. She's great! We only had a couple of practices with her and a total of about 4 hours (if that) to get her used to us and the new tunes.. Needless to say we did awesome! The gig Suzy played with us was at The Fifth Amendment on May 22nd. We did run into a small snag as soon as we got there.. Well, let me back up a few hours first.. We got to Buds house to load up all the gear, Suzy had to pick up her drums as well. After all the gear is loaded, we took a breather for a few minutes. I was telling Suzy that we've been playing out so much.. that I don't think that anything can surprise us anymore.. Well, we get to the Fifth, and the first thing the guy that runs the place says.. There's no sound guy and asked if we had all our mics and cables.. (which we didn't because they had always supplied them with their PA) The guy made a call and got some cables.. and we made due with what we had and still had a great time! So.. I guess we can still be surprised with weird situations.. Goes with Live Rock I spose! During the gig, We unleash our original song "Sweet Satisfaction" Didn't tell anyone at first it was an original.. During the song, we saw people getting into it, already singing the chorus before half the song like the heard it before.. It was awesome!! We got great feedback after the gig about it as well.. Hopefully we will record it within the next few weeks..
Now on to the double shot weekend.. I think this is the first time we had back to back gigs.. Not only did we have two in a row, we had to add some stuff in between them.. As you know, we are a blue collar band.. (we all work day jobs) some of us a lot more then others, but non the less.. we all work.. Friday comes around, We rock out The Irish Times till' 1:30. By the time we're done packing up our gear it's 2:30. Harvest invited all of us to her house for an after party. Harvest, (real name btw) saw us the first time we played at The Irish Times, and really liked us and made a point to come to most of our shows ever since.. We became really good friends with her and If you go to any of our shows, I'm sure you will get to meet her.. She's really cool.. anyway, most of the band goes to her house to pretty much wind down and hang out for a while. (Steve didn't go, He had to work in the morning sucks huh?) I figured why not, After a gig, I'm so wound up with energy I don't go to bed till the wee hours of the morning anyway.. We just hung out, chatted had some munchies.. and acted like the fools that we are.. Good times!I Got home after 5am.. Slept till about noon, Then the band was to meet at Justin's parents (very very cool btw) house for a pre-gig hang out sorta thingie in Marlboro. Good plan, Gig's at the Lazy Dog in Marlboro.. So, We ate chinese food and crashed for a little while before the show.. Marlboro is Justin's stomping grounds so that makes The Lazy Dog a cool gig for Justin.. Some of his friends showed up to check us out and have some fun. We also played Sweet Satisfaction at both of those gigs and had awesome feedback as well! Can't wait to get it out there! After The Lazy Dogs gig, most of us ended up at IHOP (becoming a usual thing for us after shows) to eat and wind down and shoot the shit for a while.. Then the weekend started for us.. We had Sunday and Monday to rest and recover our sore dehydrated bodies... Living the Dream!!
"Crash" At The Fifth Amendment! on 22nd

Welcome back my friends. We've been busy busy lately.. Playing.. Working.. Breaking.. 
Suzy "Crash" Gillies" Breaking? Yeah Breaking.. Steve aka Silent Assassin, has broken himself. He didn't do it on purpose, Well.. If I told you the truth you wouldn't believe me.. You want the truth? ok.. here goes.. He cut off a car full of ninja girl scouts.. You've seen them on the highway I'm sure.. It was a little Volkswagen bug (the new style) anyway, they followed him till he had to stop at a red light.. All 37 of them pile out of the little car (like clowns) and tore him out of his car and tried to beat him from an inch of his life.. Well long story short. He took out 36.5 of them and walked away with a small limp and a hurt shoulder.. even with them flinging their girl scout cookie ninja throwing stars.. crazy huh? Told you you wouldn't believe me!
So.. We have a guest Drummer Suzy "Crash" Gillies filling in for him for a gig or so until he gets better.. That's a pic of her up there in the corner.. maybe she was a girl scout.. hmm... conspiracy? Nah..
We had a couple of Kick Ass gigs lately as well.. Played a couple new tunes.. And met tons of new friends!! I can't say this enough but meeting new friends that come out to see us and getting involved in our shows.. makes it worth lugging all the gear, setups, and usual problems that follow with live music..You All ROCK \m/
So.. Make sure you come visit us at The Fifth Amendment this Saturday Night and come see a rocker chick beat on some drums!!!
Last thing.. A very powerful rock / metal icon passed away on Sunday.. Ronnie James Dio. I grew up listening to him in Black Sabbath and Dio.. He was a big impact in my life to what music I listen to now and even play.. Rest in Peace RJD! You will live on forever!
Worcester Music Awards
April 26th 2010
So.. We were nominated for Pulse Magazines Worcester Music Awards as most of you 
"Per ma-smile" already know.. well, that's because you all nominated us! Anyway.. We were asked to play at The Lucky Dog last Thursday the 22nd for the ceremony along with some others to entertain between handing out awards. So, I was pretty nervous playing this gig. It's kind of of a big thing for us.. I got out of work and went straight to the The Dog. Supposed to be there around 6ish for setups and whatnots... Got there about 5:30 and was going to wait around for at least one of my band mates to show before going in.. I got sick of waiting, and went in.. Well, as soon as I walked in the door. I felt so welcome and was greeted buy Pulse Magazines Laura. She was great! Asked if I was in The Last Call Band, and said.. sure am.. gave me a t-shirt, felt at ease.. The others showed up shortly after that, loaded in our guitars, amps and drums.. Hung out a bit.. Then we were graced enough to meet Kim Jennings. She was nominated in a bunch of categories as well.. and she was to perform as a solo artist playing the acoustic.. I have to say. She was so cool such a beautiful voice.. Make sure to check her out.. You wont be disappointed. The night goes on, Awards are handed out and we didnt win anything so far. Now it's time for us to play.. So we kicked ass for the next 40 minutes or so doing what we do best.. Having a blast playing music and watching the crowd getting into it.. I know I can speak for all of us (as I usually do) That 40 minutes felt like 5 minutes! It was over before I knew it! After we played.. it was time for another round of awards to be given out.. The category of Best Rock Band in Worcester County is being called out.. and we are one of the four nominies..Well LOW AND BEHOLD WE FREEKIN WON IT!!! I was Like Holy Crap!! We were all are Psyched!! Went up on stage to accept the award and give a short speech.. It was awesome! Later that night, We also won an award for the Band with the best Groupies!! So we walked away with TWO Awards!! GO US!! To make the night even better.. Our new friend Kim Jennings also won her award for Best Female Vocalist! You Rock Kim!! Take a bow.. We're a fan!!
ok.. about the pic above with that big-ass smile on my face.. Well, that's not my usual smile.. but it was for the rest of that night and well.. I think I'm still sporting it.. Kim mentioned she still had the "per ma-smile" going on still. so that term is hers (maybe I should ask for permission? lol)

"Voice of Reason"bad about not writing anything.. So go ahead.. call me a slacker, lame ass whatever. lol..
Anyway, I figured I'd write now because my wife is watching What Not to Wear on tv right now. I've got to admit, the chick they are fixin' up is a banging looking babe! (long pause... ) sorry.. was watching tv!
OK! Back to business! We have been pretty busy this past month. Had a couple great gigs, met some more of our awesome fans and getting some public recognition. For starters, We made top 4 best cover band in Worcester County!! And you know why we did? That's right.. Because of OUR Sweet Gracious Awesome Bodacious Fun Loving Fans! Hell Yeah!! Do you know what that means? Man, I'm asking you guys a lot of freekin questions aren't I? It means, on April 22nd we are performing at The Lucky Dog at the 2010 Worcester Music Awards!! And then we will find out where we fit in the top 4! So keep all your digits crossed for us! And maybe see you there!!
So.. about the pic I re posted on this post. We entered Wormtown Rocks Photo exhibit! (For those of you that have no idea what Wormtown is, well it's the nickname for Worcester, Like Boston is known as Bean Town) The Idea for the Exhibition is to capture Rock in Worcester County.. We entered three photos, and one of them was accepted for the exhibition.. Pretty rockin' right? we thought so.. The photo that made it was the one above that was titled "Voice of Reason"

"Pain"out on the way cool light box,, But really what's going on in her head is "Oh shit.. this light totally blows up my skirt thing and everyone can see everything!" and Mike (me) Looks like he's Getting down grooving to the tune.. Right? But what's really going on in his mind is (and I should know.. I was there) "F^@%!! I know these shoes look Kickin' But Daaaamn these fricking things are killin my feet!!" Sharon actually banned me from wearing these forever!! She told me she saw the pain in my face all night.. UGH.. Rock and Roll eh? LOL..
We have a bunch of gigs coming up.. so hope to see you again!! You all ROCK!!
One more mention... I know I can speak for the band.. But we really need to thank Bonnie Ritacco, The Al's Woman, The Al's Main Squeeze, for doing almost, if not all of our public recognition like The Worcester Art Museums Wormtown Rocks Exhibit and Pretty much responsible for our 4000 that's right FOUR THOUSAND! Facebook friends!! She spend more time online working for us and really without much credit at all.. So, when you see her at a gig, walking down the street or Driving the Bonnie Mobile.., Please go out of your way and flash her some skin, give her a hug.. or at least a thumbs up!! Way to go Bonnie!! You Rule!!

We had a blast playing at The Black Bear Saloon down in Hartford Connecticut last night. As you read above.. You can see that we finally got our banner! And I think Justin took it home and slept with it last night.. (Just wash it when your done with it Dude.) It was an amazing night.. TONS of people there! We had such a great time with everyone! Some of the band made it up north NH for a snowmobiling weekend.. All I can say is WHAT A FRICKIN RUSH IT WAS!! Never been on a snowmobile before.. and I cant wait till I do it again!
Big gig for us coming up in Hartford, CT at The Black Bear Saloon this Saturday night.. Hope to see some of you there.. I know its a little further away than usual for most of you.. but It's a really nice place.. and will be tons of fun!!

Hey Everyone! Hope you all are having a great winter so far! I know we are! We are getting close to being fully booked for the rest of the year already.. We took the month of February off, and lucky we did. Most everyone in the band came down sick with one thing or another, bruising things, body parts falling off.. just terrible.. even cancelled a couple practices because of it..

I wasn't going to write so soon.. But I just had to. Last night was Freeking AMAZING!!  (Large).jpg)
pic taken at Irish TimesMan.. I woke up with a smile thinking about it.. even the pain cant stop me from smiling.. I'll get to the pain part in a minute. We got a chance to play with the lights.. I must say. It added so much to the show. But what really added to the show was all the energy from the crowd! It was awesome.. The place was packed.. and everyone was dancing and singing with us on and near the stage.. It was so cool!
Almost every time we play out, I wonder why I do this .. It's not that I don't love playing my guitar.. Its lugging all the gear around.. Loading, and unloading and setting up.. But its its nights like this.. and the people that make it worth all the sweat and tears and appreciate what we do.. I know that I can speak for the rest of the band.. That we do in fact LOVE ALL of you, and we REALLY appreciate your support for us.. OK.. enough of this emotional shit.. haha!
Ok.. now to the pain part I was talking about.. During one of our songs.. I jumped off the
stage to join Sharon singing with the audience.. well, when I went to jump back on.. I totally misjudged the height of the stage.. and pretty much did a face plant! I got right up and threw my hands in the air.. What else could I do.. right? Go with the flow.. Maybe I'll be a stunt man on the side.. LOL!! anyway.. I skinned up my knuckle pretty bad.. black and blue on my leg.. and had slight damage to my guitar.. But as the title of this little story says.. Glory from a kick ass show! I love it! So this week I will make my way down to Mr.C's Music in Marlboro and Chris can do some repairs to my Wolfgang,,
Big thanks go out to our new Facebook friends that came out to see us.. and a Really big thanks for Dave B, and Mike for coming out and giving us a hand with the PA.. also.. our fan base on facebook is almost to 3000 people!! Wa-hoo!!
Our next gig will be out of state.. Not that far away.. Hartford Ct. is the place, and Black Bear is the name.. so we will be working on a few more tunes for that show.. Hope to see some of you there!!! Enough rambling on for now.. Peace!
So.... Irish Times Tonight!!

Yeah.. So.. I'm sorry that I haven't written in a while.. Just been a little busy.. I'll try not to let
it happen again! We had a great gig at The Wheelock Inn a couple weeks ago. Had a wonderful turnout for a crowd, unleashed four or five new tunes on our audience.. and it went awesome! We gave away a few band T-shirts.. blah blah blah.. You get the idea .. It was a great night!
We sold a few items already from our merchandise page.. I'm wondering and
if we will see them in action tonight at the show.. (especially the thongs!) You know who you are!
I know I can speak for everyone in the band.. that we are VERY excited to play tonight! The show at Wheelock was really good.. But tonight seems to feel different for some reason.. Maybe its the lights we scored that we are going to try (if we can get all the gear in the vehicles lol) or just because we haven't played all that much since the mid of last December. Tonight will be fun!! Enough for now.. I need a nap before the gig.. Some Rockstar life huh?
Getting Ready to Rock Again!!

First Off.. Happy New Year! Hope everyone's holidays were great and I'm sure most of 
pic taken at The Fifth Amendmentyou are glad it's over! We had a nice little break off over the last month. But we're gearing up and ready to start rocking again! Added some new tunes, So we hope to see you so we can unleash them on you this coming Saturday at The Wheelock Inn in MIllbury! Hopefully we'll have a few T-Shirts left and we will throw out a few to the crowd during the night..
We also had write up in the Daily MIllbury Paper, you can check it out here.
On January 2nd, A good portion of the band went to Rhode Island to see Halestorm perform at Lupo's. ( We do their "I get off on you" song) I have to admit, watching them on youtube performing live prior to this show, I was a little worried.. maybe it was the recordings.. but they didn't sound great live.. But DA-AMN! We were totally blown away with their sound, and performance!! If you get a chance to see them, Do it! Halestorm finished their set just before 10 o'clock, so we beat feet and flew to The Fifth Amendment in Worcester to see Justin's friends band "Never in Vegas" Again.. another must see band! Incredible..
Last but not least.. We are over 2500 friends on Facebook! Thank you so much for all of you for becoming our friends and helping us grow! Because without all of you, What's the point? Right? You all rule! Thanks Again!
What a Night at the V!

First off.. My apologies for starting late.. Were were supposed to go on for 10 o'clock ..
But the comedy guy started late and finished late before us.. So we didn't even start till about 10:45. We started the first song (sound check) and Bud's amp died.. Great.. what now.. So after trying this and that.. we figured it to be a fuse in his amp head.. A stupid simple little fuse! Of coarse we didn't have the right kind of fuse.. So Nick (Runs theV) finds us some tin foil.. Wrapped up the fuse in tin foil like a pig in a blanket.. stuck it back in.. and Wa-La.. it worked! That only set us back about 5 more minutes.. Yes it was risky to do that.. it could've fried his amp head.. but the show must go on!! So even though starting late and the amp issue we felt responsible to keep it going and turn it up a notch.. So.. we played all night without stopping.. we played from 10:50 to past 1:30 without a break.. It was pretty cool. We were all so beat and dehydrated by nights end.. I felt the worst for Justin.. He told me he had to pee really bad fifth song in, ( I thought he was jumping around more than usual..must've been his pee-pee dance!) and was going to go at the first break which never came! LOL poor bastard!

So.. Winter is here.. and it's cold as a witches.. ahhh you know how the saying goes..
Gotta tell you, We are VERY excited for this Saturday night. We are playing The Fifth Amendment!! BOOYAA!! Can't f'ing wait!! It's We had a great write up in the Worcester Telegram today as well. Thankfully it wasn't something like one of us was in jail.. HAHA! check it out here. As the pic above says.. Lighting the tree.. deck the halls.. So as you can see, it's a x-mas bash! So naturally the band wants me to dress up as Santa.. Why me? Is it my witt and style? My cheery laugh? My generosity? I doubt it.. Lets face it.. I'm the largest of the group.. haha! I'll wear the hat.. that's about as x-mas as I'm going to get.. ok.. that's all for now.. Hope to see you at The V Saturday!!

This Friday's gig is kind of special to us.. It's actually funny how it worked out.. We
played at the Gas Light in Dudley one year ago December 5th I think.. (close enough). It was Our Drummer Steve's aka Silent Assassin first gig with us. Not only that, It was the first time that Sharon came to see us play and we had her sing a song with us.. and she joined us not long after that!! So if you get a chance.. Come out and say hi to us at the Gas Light!
oh yeah... we are getting close to 2000 fans on facebook!! 1891 last time I looked.. I'll have to come up with something creative for our actual 2000th fan.. most likely it will be drinking for free at one of our gigs.. I dunno... if you have any ideas email me ...
Had a Blast at JJ's!

Had a blast at JJ's on Friday night! What a night! We sounded great thanks to the
sound guy Tim. And we had a great crowd to boot! I know myself, I started out a little slow.. waiting for the DayQuil to kick in. Now I know how Justin felt at the last gig playing while sick.. I got to tell you.. it sucks ass! But once ya get started playing, you kinda forget your sick and get into it. The show must go on!
So.. we are undecided whether or not that we are having practice this week since we'll have to setup all the gear only to break it down again for this Fridays gig at The Gas Light Cafe in Dudley. I'm sure we will get together anyway just to hang out.. Good Times!

For starters... We had a kick ass time playing at The Fifth Amendment last Saturday... 
This place has an AWESOME sound system and is run by what I think is the best sound guy out there! Thank You Jason for making us sound our best! We had tons of great feedback because of you! We had a great crowd and THANKS go out to all that made it out there.. We would be nothing without you guys!!
We also have almost 1500 people on our Face book! Thank You everyone!
Wow.. I'm thanking a lot of people tonight.. I must be in a good mood or something..lol.. I'm sure that will change soon..
As for practice this week.. Not sure we are having it.. The Al is hopefully getting over his laryngitis which he just started to get before Saturdays gig.. and Steve is limping and has a swollen wrist.. It's tough being a rocker at our age!! But I guess its nothing that some Advil and Ben-Gay can't fix! We might want to change our name from The Last Call Band to Aches and Pains! HAHA I crack myself up!! Great gig coming up for us at The Fifth Amendment in Worcester.. We are all looking
forward to play there! We decided to learn a few last minute songs for this place.. Hope it pays off!
On another note, I have news about our sound board. Sharon and I (Mike) went to guitar center to look at new boards..We asked the guy in that section about The Mackie 1402-VLZ3 Mixer, then I mentioned about our mixer we bought there back in July that crapped out on us and gave us nothing but problems.. He said we should talk to the manager.. I was thinking here we go.. we're going to get the speal that breaks down that they are sorry, and we are hosed.. I told him some of the issues and he tells me to stop talking and go get the mixer and they will give us a FULL refund on it! Sharon and I couldn't get out of there fast enough to run back home and get the old one and get the new one we looked at! Kudos go out to Guitar Center in MIllbury, MA for making good on this for us! We had an AWESOME practice the first time we used it.. Everything works like it was supposed to.. and could finally hear everyone!
Pleading the Fifth may have another reason behind this post.. Most of us attended The Gion's Halloween Party.. and let me tell you.. the costumes were Fantastic!! What an awesome evening!!
The Beast over Boston

A while back, Sharon and myself (Mike) had nothing to do and ended up going to
Ralph's Diner in Worcester to see some tribute bands.. One of these bands we saw was The Beast over Boston. An Iron Maiden Tribute band.. We were blown away! We shot the shit with Art (Lead Vocals) for a little bit after his show.. and he was a wicked nice guy by the way.. anyway.. Him and Sharon have been in contact ever since.. Where am I going with this you ask?? Well I'll tell you. Art is such a great guy, He is letting us borrow his Mixerboard for a few days in order for us to diagnose the issues were having with our PA system. We're pretty sure its the mixerboard we bought only a few months ago from guitar center. We bought it as we thought was a floor model.. but it rang out as used.. so we may have to send it back to Mackie for them to repair it.. anyway... lesson learned on that one! So we are testing out the PA tonight so we can play out at Trumbulls tomorrow night without worrying about the PA again..

We had a BLAST playing at Admiral Tj O'Brien's on Saturday night!! We got a little bit of a late start because there was a last minute table with a bunch of people eating pretty much where we had to play.. So we waited till they were mostly done and asked them to slide down so we could set up our gear.. We were setup in no time and started rocking the place..
We were graced with the presence of a beautiful bride and groom and the rest of the wedding party during our last set of the night.. We let them pick out a song from our set list to play for them.. and they picked she f'ing hates me by Puddle of Mudd! lol.
So thanks to everyone that made it out and big congrats to the bride and groom!!
Also we are pleased to report that we have over 1000 people on facebook as friends now!! Rock On!!

For starters.. it's October already.. wow. I'm still waiting for summer to start, and here it
is.. October.. Lets just hope for a decent winter..
We had a great gig at the Wheelock. Had tons of people, , great energy and it was Justins' first gig with us. What could be better?
We brought some new tunes to the plate for the first time, and I still can't believe Sweet Home Alabama was such a hit! We do it our way so I don't mind playing it.. We do it more of a jam song.. but man, the people got up and danced to it!! so I guess that's a keeper..
If you're wondering why the title of this section is "it's ok Sharon.. we've got it.." well, During setting up for the gig.. it's usually chaos plugging in everything and making sure it works.. but we had a problem with the PA system.. So as The Al is getting a little frantic trying to figure it out.. Sharon had disappeared to god knows where to do god knows what.. LOL.. she comes back and asked if we needed help.. Al says sarcastically "it's ok Sharon.. we've got it.." She didn't catch the sarcasm and took off again.. so we made fun of the rest of the night saying that to her.. I told her what it really meant last night.. and she felt like a dork.. hahaha Love this band!!
On another note we are pretty much booked up for the rest of the year.. which is great.. but we are kind of bummed out because we are missing some great opportunities to play at the Lucky Dog.. We've been asked to open for the Fool's and also Trevor Rabin of YES. But some of us are busy those days and cant change our plans.. No worries.. there will be more..

9/26 Nite at the Wheelock Inn (Millbury)
We had a really nice last few weeks... We added some more tunes to our set list.. Pink,
No Doubt, Halestorm's I get off on you , another Ozzy's crazy train and another tune from way back that I don't care to mention..lol.. We mainly turned it into a jam song.. but should be fun non the less! We will crank it out tonite
During these last few weeks, Justin (Meat) went to Aruba with his babe and family.. I saw the pics from that trip.. and let me tell you, they had more than a blast!
Steve also came to rehearsal limping.. He gave some lame-o excuse on what happened.. but if I know him he's being modest.. My gut feeling is that he was jumped by 27 ninjas and he kicked all their asses and came out only with a slight limp.. You go Silent Assassin!
Also our fan base is growing on Facebook. We're close to 500 people so far. So, if your not on there yet.. check us out and friend us.. We have some videos on there that aren't on this web site.. Even though the vids still have our old bass player.. We hoping to see Sean again soon from Echo Video Productions to video us again!!

Ok. I'd like to ask this for starters.. Where the hell has this summer gone already? I
mean.. REALLY?? It's the end of August already, kids are starting school and it's getting darker earlier. I just hope it's at least a mild winter. Enough of this rant..
So.. we had a nice surprise... Wayne was at our practice.. well it wasn't really a surprise, cuz we knew he was coming. Wayne is going to join us on bass along with Justin (aka meat) at the private party this Saturday. When we didn't have a bassist for a little while, Wayne was filling in for a few gigs and he still wanted to play this gig with us.. So we are going to have two bassist switching off tunes.. Should be pretty cool! We are hoping for NO RAIN for Saturday.. (since this will be an outdoor gig.) So everyone please get naked and do your Anti-Rain dance for us!!
We have also started booking clubs to fill out the year.. and Angel from Trumbulls in Spencer called me today to book something.. I'll have to call him back tomorrow so we'll be able to rock Meat's stomping grounds! BooYaa!!

I know, I'm a slacker. I haven't posted in a while. We have been busy getting Justin up to 
(Bud, Ben Carroll of Ra, Sharon and Mike)speed learning all out new tunes, in addition we added some more tunes our self. We have four more songs for Sharon.
We are so excited to play at this private party coming up. It's the perfect gig to break in Justin. Wayne is also going to be there and sharing the stage with Justin on the bass . It's going to be awesome!

We are happy to report we found our bassist!! Justin ROCKS! Awesome bass player,
great attitude, seems like one of us. if not, I'm sure we will corrupt him! LOL! We are extremely excited to get going again and get cranking on new tunes! As I write this we were supposed to be playing at the Wheelock Inn in Millbury, but we need to give Justin a little time to learn all our tunes. I'm sure by the time you see us out next, we will have at least 10 more tunes added to our list..
Always a clown.. This would've been a decent pic above..but someone always ruins it. Ha ha.. For some reason, every time Sharon looks at this pic now.. she pretty much looses it..So if you see her on the street.. Grab your boob like I did in the pic.. and see what happens!!

Bass Tryouts

We are still auditioning bass players. We tried out a total of four people so far.. and
we have a pretty good idea as of right now who it will be. But we still have some more tryouts next week so we'll see..Our decision will be pretty soon. I hope so, we had to cancel one of our gigs in Millbury because Wayne will be out of state at that time.. no worries.. It was the first gig we ever had to cancel. Wheelock wasn't happy when we had to cancel them.. I feel bad. I love playing there.. We know the room well and how it sounds in there and they are great people. I'm sure we are going to be out straight as soon as we find our bassist.. We are holding back on scheduling gigs till then.. and I know we will have plenty!!

Ok... Sorry for being a slacker this week. Shit happens.. Blah blah... The gig at JJ's in
Northboro was awesome!! It was so much fun playing next to Wayne.. He brought us to another level that night.. It just felt right. We had kind of a tough first set with the sound. I myself couldn't hear anything. not even myself which made it all the more difficult to play. There were a few songs we never got a chance to practice with Wayne before that night, but I must say that they came out great! The second set is where we found the "groove" and started really killing it... I ended up putting my amp up on milk crates just to get it more to ear level and that helped Wayne and myself hear me better.. Fun place to play and good sound! I'll post pics soon =)

So.. The dude you see right here is Wayne Williams from the bands Promised Eden
and Head First. He is filling in until we find a bass player. We tried to schmooze him with wine and women to join us, but with two bands already and possibly a tribute band in the works, he wouldn't have time for us, or to sleep for that matter. We are kinda taking our time looking and we've only tried out one guy so far. (with the holidays and everyone else's schedules) The guy we tried out was great, but want to get a chance to try out at least a few more guys or gals before we make a decision. So hopefully in a few weeks will have someone.
On another note, in between practicing with Wayne and trying out that one dude and other crap going on, We had to return the mixer board on kinda short notice. We were hoping to use it at least a few more weeks, but it is what it is. So.. We had to run out and drop a crap load of money on new equipment.. But we are happy and excited to tryout the new toys! We ended up getting a sweet 16 channel Mackie board, T.C. Electronics voice processor, a power conditioner and huge road case to carry it in..
I can't wait for Wednesday! We will be rehearsing with Wayne again so we will be ready for our gig at JJ's this Saturday nite. And we get to try out the PA Equipment!

Sorry it took me so long to post. We had a VERY interesting night. We had a blast
playing as usual! At first the crowd wasn't great.. but it got better and better during the night. We had more flashes (not from the camera if you know what I mean) We even played a song that we only practiced a few times in rehearsal the week before. The song was Control by Puddle of Mudd.. I must say, It came out awesome!
The crowd was getting so into the music.(see the pics under media page) which gives us so much more energy to keep rockin on!

Charlie called me the following day after this gig, and told me he wanted out.. so if you were wondering why his bio is gone and some of his pic.. that's why..
So.. We are in need of a bass player.. We put ads out on craigslist, bandmix and musician finder. By far, craigslist is the best. We are holding auditions for a few weeks till we decide on someone.. So if you play bass and looking to tryout.. email us right away to setup a time and date.
Our next gig is at JJ's Sports Bar July 11th. We have an awesome bass player filling in for that gig. This awesome bass player I'm talking about is Wayne Williams from the bands Head First and Promised Eden. (this dude ROCKS) We will be jamming with him on Wednesday so he can get used to the way we play..
So make sure you come out to JJ's on the 11th to see our special guest whale away on that bass of his!!!
By the way.. the big sexy dude in the picture above with sharon is Angel. He pretty much lives at Trumbull's. Awesome guy. Don't know exactly what he does there.. but I do know he cooks there, and sets up the activities.. If you haven't had the food there yet.. do so asap!! Awesome food!! Yum Yum!! You will not be disappointed! I promise you.
Out on the Town!

We had the weekend off from playing.. and most of the band scattered all over the state
and out of state for that matter.. It was totally last minute that I (Mike) messaged Sharon (since I'm a bachelor this weekend) to see what shes up to tonite.. She said "I don't know.. what are WE doing?" I ended up at her house at 7:30 and we took off without having a clue what to do.. Well, we hit the Banner's Bar and had a few wonderful drinks called Greatful Deads.. and then a couple of her girlfriends showed up.. Her friend Beth was so excited and on cloud nine because she just came back from the DCU Center where Bill Clinton was speaking.. and that he stroked her bare arm. (I doubt she will ever wash it again!) And her friend Erin had a stain on her blue blouse.. what up with that!!?? (insert Bill Clinton jokes here) After that.. we hit Emerald Isle down the street to scope it out since we are gigging there in September. it shoud be a cool place to play..And since I still really don't know Worcester all that well, Sharon was telling me where to go and pointing out things that she didn't think I saw like EVERYTHING! "LOOK OUT".. I sighed.. She asked me "what would you do without me?" I replied "I'd use my GPS and it would be a lot quieter and less annoying" BUKAW BURN!! She laughed her ass off!!
It was funny.. I was listening to some Iron Maiden in my SUV when I picked up Sha.. and then we were talking about some of the songs that are on the plate for learning next.. and Godsmack's Whatever was one of them.. Well we ended up at Ralph's Diner and there were three Tribute bands playing.. Tool, Iron Maiden (Beast of Boston) and Godsmack! we were like NO WAY!!! Way!! So we killed the rest of the night killing our hearing and watching these awesome bands. We chatted to the singer from Beast of Boston for a while.. He was wicked cool (Hi Art!) as were most of all the other guys were!!

Ok, This has been one of our favorite gigs (top 3 anyway) so far. It was a new place for
us to play, but heard great things about it. The place I am talking about is Tal's Place in Webster MA. There was so much energy and awesome people there really digging our tunes and really getting into what we were doing! We surprised Sharon with a new toy! a SM58 beta wireless Microphone! When she saw it, she yelled so loud and started giggling like a lil' school girl!! She was all over the club singing.. I lost sight of her a few times. It was great!!
So now.. look at the picture (click on it to enlarge) Mike was really into it at the show.. rocking out.. but doesn't seem to remember anything falling out.. LOL Actually it was her finger.. just looks funny!! or was He keeping to the saying.. ROCK OUT WITH YOUR C*#K out!! haha.
It was Lori's Birthday (friend of the bands) So we of course sang the standard Happy Birthday song to her. Happy B-Day again Lori!!! (Mike really needs to learn that on his guitar!!)
We also had the crowd participating on some of the songs and having fun with us..

It was a dark cool Saturday night, most of us arrive at The Wheelock Inn to rock the
place. It was a very quiet erie place as we walk in the doors around 8 o'clock.. The place was almost empty. We start setting up all the gear looking around at each other and at the vacant room. "It's early yet" we kept telling each other. All the gear is setup by 8:30ish. and Sharon still hasn't arrived. Now we are thinking what's up with tonight? The stars couldn't be any more out of alignment that evening. We finally got a text message from The Crazy Sharon telling us she's running a little behind. (DUH! like we didn't notice! LOL) (I think she was going to perform the true walk on stage from the parking lot from her car HAHA Freekin rock stars) We just kicked back a little and decided to start playing at 9:30 no matter who's there or not. Well people started coming in slowly by then and ended up with a pretty good crowd of 85+ during the night!!
We tried something different with our set list this time and it didn't work well. (I blame the stars being out of alignment o.O ) but it is what it is.
But for the best part of the night is still to come! Mike brought a few plastic bead necklaces in hopes to get a glimpse of the ever eluding boobies ( o Y o ) that he was hoping to attract. He placed them on the head stock of his guitar for bait.. and started playing that guitar of his.. and low and behold.. out of the woodwork they were staring him in the face. He looked like a deer caught in the headlights. O.O Well I don't think he was really ready for that.. It actually made him screw up the part of the song! Man.. the power of the boobies!! What's up with that?? Well after a few flashes and making most of the band lose their rhythm (yes, even Sharon lost her place! lol) They were all smiles across the board and they got so much more energy from that.. ROCK ON!!!
We would also love to thank Sean and Edgar's friend for coming up and sing a couple tunes with us!!

Head First was awesome as usual.. Keith had The Al and Sharon sing Kryptonite with them..We all had a blast as usual together.. SOME of us didn't drink that much cuz of the gig we have to do tonite.. Rehearsal / Millbury Gig This Saturday!!

Ok... So nothing really exciting to report this week.. No ticks in bad places or good
places for that matter.. maybe a little poison ivy on the ankle.. We did have a decent practice on Wednesday. We went over a couple more new tunes that we will play out on Saturday. Even tried a couple more to add to our ever-growing setlist.. Man that damn thing is getting bigger every week.. the setlist I mean.. and well maybe my stomach too. We also changed the soundboards amp to the crown amp that we have.. and are going to try it out at the upcoming gig..Anyway.. We are all getting excited to play at the Wheelock Inn in Millbury this Saturday.. Can't Freekin wait!!
Some of the band is going to meet out at Trumbull's Bar and Grill in Spencer tonite for dinner and catch our friend's band Head First and possibly sing a couple of tunes with them.. So come on down and check them out.. but save some of your energy for our gig at Wheelock Inn Saturday!!! P.S. there not going to be any video guy there at this gig.. so we better see you guys dancing this time!! you know who you are!!!

Ok.. Usually I (Mike) am the one that does all these updates and manage this website..
I was away camping this weekend with a bunch of guys.. as Sharon puts it.. "Camping Brokeback Mountain Style" So I wasn't able to partake in going out drinking and seeing our friends bands Promised Eden and Crazy Train play.. So I send out an email asking those that went, to write something to put here.. Well.. Sharon replied "Aaahhh.....too drunk to remember....." So I guess she had fun! LOL.

Friday night I fell asleep on the couch watching PBS. (yeah baby!!!!)
Saturday I visited my mother-in-law and mowed her lawn. (whoooo-ooo yeah!!!)
Sunday I changed the oil in the cars and the lawn tractor. (Oh yeah!!!)
and then started cutting my lawn which has grown knee-high in the 3 weeks of freakish weather we've had, but didn't get it done because it started to F.N. rain again. (awww!!! Boooo!!!!) Oh well. Looks like I'll be finishing it up tonight. (Yeah!!!)

We all got together in different ways this weekend.
Sharon, The Al, Bonnie (Bonnie is The Al’s Groupie and Wife) and some friends went to the Lucky Dog on Friday day night and closed the place to see our friend Keith's band Promised Eden. It was a great show. Of course there was a bit of wildness with Sharon and Bonnie, some dancing, some spilling of beer and other alcohol, as well as a lot of singing and laughing. The rest of us either had things attaching to our nuts and us calling them happy, or doing long awaited chores. On Sunday we went out to see The Al's friend play in his band "Crazy Train" at the Singletery club. The Ozzy guys rocked the place out and we had a great time hanging out and finished things off with some food and drinks.
So... In a nutshell.. as far as I can tell.. thats what happened.. Im sure there will be more updates soon on what really happened.. maybe not.. I do now realize that I can't leave these guys and girls alone for a weekend anymore..
I can tell you there will be no practice this week due to this email from Steve "I will be unable to practice this week because my wife will be out of town for the week and duct tape and rope just won't keep the boy down"
So we are going to hang out at Steve's house instead and shoot the shit for a while =)
Last Weekend Activities...

Friday: We had a great show at Trumbulls on Friday. Played some cool tunes, Drank some
beers.. Met some new fans.. Got Wood? (if you were there, you'd understand. lol) Overall, it was a great night! I don't know if it was the beer... or Mike still getting used to his new guitar or possibly some sort of curse that's happening at Trumbulls to Mike during the last song of the night.. Something is going on.. Just weird!! I think we need to help him out before the last song happens by offering up some ( o Y o ) flashing of the skin.. New Orleans style to keep the curse at bay.. Maybe he'll have some beads to pass out.. =)
Saturday: Most of the band and significant others went out to Banners to have a few drinks.. and then went Creegans in Worcester to see Mike's friend Keith's band Head First play.. They were awesome! Keith invited our singer The Al to sing a couple tunes.. it was so cool! Thanks again for the great time Head First!! We left Creegans about 12:45 to head over to The Lucky Dog to see The Al's friend sing in the Ozzy Osbourne tribute band Crazy Train.. Talk about awesome!! Al's friend is the singer (Ozzy) and he had it down so awesome.. I thought it was Ozzy up there on stage.. Damn good times!!

the gig for tonight, but we'd thought it would be better to play, and we'll do a nice to toast for him during the gig.. Our hearts go out to Charlie and his Family.. So come out and have a good time so you can help us have a drink for him!
Also.. some new videos are now posted in the media section from the gig out in Millbury.. The videos are more of a learning tool for us, so we can see and here what needs improvements.. and boy do we learn alot!! lol.. anyway.. they came out pretty cool! Thanks Sean!! mMMm I like Mayo.. Sorry.. Yeah so.. Happy Cinco De Mayo!!
We are taking it easy this week.. no rehearsal for us this week.. But we are getting to Rock it at Trumbull's in Spencer this Friday nite!!
Also.. We got the video footage from our gig in Millbury, so it need to be cut into little pieces for the website.. so hopefully sometime next week there will be some new stuff under the media page.
And.. we are working on getting the band on facebook.. and really need to revamp the myspace page.. someday.. (I hate myspace)

Wow! We had a great night playing at the Lucky Dog! Great people were there.. just all around a blast! Still the usual shit happed like everytime we play out.. Couldn't hear anyone else out of the monitors..actual quote by Steve "For the first time ever, I could hear everyone! Guitars, Vocals.. The sound guy fixed it!! Well.. that lasted 30 seconds.. back to not hearing anything again LOL" Mike broke yet another string.. but seemless guitar swapping between songs didn't slow them down. Sharon really got the crowd going! She got this hot chick to jump up on stage and dance for the crowd for one of the songs. It was great! Do you realize how hard it is to play when someone is shaking their bootay around like that?! Who cares.. its Awesome! Most of the band ended up across the street at Banners Bar after the gig and as usual.. drank way to much! Great Night! Great People!! Awesome! God I love this Band!
This just in.. A woman was at the gig and stopped The Al as he was loading up some gear.. and this is what she told him...
" Your band is great; a lot of fun to watch, dance, and sing along to. It is so hard to find a band that is good and plays a variety of new, and some 90's/80's music."
Lucky Dog this Saturday!!

We are excited to be playing this Saturday Night at The Lucky Dog once again. We will be going on 3rd now.. Not 2nd like we believed.. Ah well, no matter. It will be a blast nonetheless! We decided not to practice this week just to take a small break between gigs.. got a call today from Angel at Trumbull's Bar and Grill.. They want us back! Yeah Baby!! I'll have to call him back tomorrow to set the date..

Rehearsal

Had an awesome rehearsal last night. We had to setup all the equipment from breaking down for the last gig. We pretty much took it easy.. Played some tunes, Even tried a Metallica tune.. It will be a keeper. and of course shot the shit for a while.. Over all.. it was a great night!!

We had the usual sound issues at first.. but got it under control a couple songs in.. The new songs came out great! The crowd really seemed to dig them! The bar treated us AWESOME! They said they had a great turnout, and want us back so thats good news! So keep looking at the upcoming gigs.. and hopefully we'll be closer for some of you to make the shows!! Thank You Trumbull's for having us and we look forward to coming back!

Hope everyone had a good April Fool's Day! For our Fool's Day, We decided to have a short rehearsal just to go over some of the new tunes that we are going to try out on Sharon's debut show at Trumbull's in Spencer this Friday. The new tunes are going to be a blast to play and we can't wait to try them on you guys! We also want to thank all of you for your support that you have given us so far in the past and we hope to reward you with great tunes and give you a great show!

We are getting excited to play out for the first time with Sharon singing along with us... She's planing on kicking back a little doing background vocals, and doing a few songs as lead vocals, and we have a few duet songs onder our belts to try on you guys! It's going to be freekin awesome! So lets all try and pack Trumbulls Bar and Grill this coming 3rd and Blow the Doors off the place!!
